アンガス・ステュワート・ディートン（Sir Angus Stewart Deaton、1945年10月19日 - ）は、アメリカ・イギリス国籍の経済学者である。2015年、「消費、貧困、福祉」に関する分析に対して、ノーベル経済学賞が授与された。
経歴
- 1964年 ケンブリッジ大学フィッツウィリアムカレッジに入学し、経済学を専攻。
- 1975年 ケンブリッジ大学同カレッジにてB.A.とM.A.を取得後、1975年にPh.D.を取得。博士論文のタイトルは'Models of consumer demand and their application to the United Kingdom'（消費者需要モデルと英国への応用）。
- 1978年 経済学誌「エコノメトリカ」への貢献が認められ、Econometric Societyより与えられるフリッシュメダルの初の受賞者となる。
- 1980年 American Economic Reviewで、John Muellbauerと共に開発したAlmost Ideal Demand System (AIDS)で知られるようになる。Econometric Societyのフェロー、英国学士院のcorresponding fellow、アメリカ芸術科学アカデミーのフェローとなる。
- 2009年 アメリカ経済学会の会長に選出
- 2011年 BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Awardを受賞
- 2012年 トムソン・ロイター引用栄誉賞受賞
- 2014年4月 アメリカ哲学協会に選出。ローマ・トル・ヴェルガータ大学、ロンドン大学、セントアンドリュース大学から名誉学位を取得。
